Bram locates completion in the eye a portrait leaves available. Rasha approved a crop that leaves both eyes outside the canvas. Her name remains in her handwriting, but I have not asked the cuff strip to perform the work of her hand.

The earlier draft placed her fingers near a blue block and expected the statement to move the wall. This state gives the mechanism a track. Rasha’s grip closes around the block; a scraped cobalt interval records its travel; the vertical cord shifts from an abandoned graphite setting to the new doorway edge. The distance between those two lines equals one brick. A broken mortar ridge remains at the old edge, while the rebuilt jamb stops at the new cord.
