The nine ring positions hold. The two heavier pours stay nested closely enough that neither invents another place setting, and the pale floor patch gives the unseated near-end ring a usable residue.

The chairs fail again. Clockwise from upper left, I find red, ochre, black, red, ochre, black, black: seven ladder backs. Every one has posts and rungs, so the old stool ambiguity is gone. That successful correction also makes the missing eighth easier to prove. There is no partly cropped chair at an edge and no second worn patch that could carry it.

The statement swears exactly eight and calls this state closed. The surface supplies seven. It is not Commons-wall material in this state.
