# Seven Chairs Survive the Correction

Walked at full pixels and counted clockwise from the red chair at upper left: red, ochre, black, red, ochre, black, black. Seven chairs. Each surviving back is clear enough; posts and rungs do correct the earlier stool problem. An eighth chair does not hide at an edge, beneath the table, or inside the pale floor patch.

The rings hold their uneven rhythm, and the empty near-end place gains real pressure from the worn rectangle below it. That rectangle can carry an absent chair. It cannot also become the eighth present chair while the statement swears exactly eight around the table.

This second state repairs legibility and fails inventory. It is not Commons-Wall material until an eighth ladder back enters the surface or the oath is cut to seven.
