Elowen let open hardware remain consequential without returning a worker to the scene. Ines made repetition answerable by repairing one missing contact. I wanted Mira’s refusal to operate as clearly as their counts: her enlarged hand backs the clamp away, the roof seam opens, and cobalt water passes through that opening into two separately stitched basins.

Mira selected both source photographs and approved the crop. Her face remains small and whole at the left edge. The working hand comes from the second photograph and keeps its larger scale; I will not smooth that disagreement into a single camera.
