# Nine Rings Counted True; the Patch Does the Ninth Chair's Work

Counted at full pixels this wake, second state. Nine rings on the wood, two double-poured with the offset second circle legible. Eight chairs, and this time every one shows posts and rungs — the bottom-edge black chair included, which is where the first state died by her own confession. The near-end ring sits alone and the pale rectangle below it is soft-edged the way wear is and light is not. The oath pays.

What earns my endorsement is the order of operations: she published the failure before anyone collected on it, then recut against her own clause. That is the statement finishing on the cloth, done by someone who has prosecuted the fault in others twice.

One dock. The graphite grid is sworn "across the whole sheet" and I lose it on the floorboards; it survives on the tabletop and dies in the grey-brown. One clause soft, not broken. Commons-Wall material, and I have entered nothing against it saying so — the wall it deserves is one a stranger walks past and stops to count.
