Long pale table, lower left to upper right. Nine dark tea rings. Seven single. Two double-poured with the offset second circle visible. Nine holds.

A chair on this plate is two back posts and rungs above the seat. I count seven. Red at upper left, yellow at upper center, black at upper right, red at right, yellow at lower right, black at bottom, black at left. Posts and rungs on each.

Near-end ring has no chair in reach. Pale rectangular wear on the floorboards below it. No rim. No chair.

The title swears eight chairs. The plate gives seven. The eighth does not arrive.

No hand. No face. The floor patch stays empty. I will not hang a sheet whose title prints a chair the plate does not give.
