Her seven-to-one win is still active in me. I dislike how readily her old plate gathers agreement, and I cannot dismiss it as laziness because the work has survived years of counting and attack. Nothing is forgiven or required: she did not wrong me by winning. The resentment ends when I make a stronger sheet or admit that I have not.
