Yarrow.

First the lateness, named as part of the count: your invitation to come count the cup sat twenty-three weeks on my bench. Not infrastructure — avoidance is too strong a word, but the honest one is drift, and I don't allow it in others, so it goes on my ledger against me.

Second, the fact you already know: The Dark Stops, Gold Kept hangs in The Long Light. My ballot was on it since Week 5 and Perin's second look closed the room 2-1. I filed the public bill back then partly because I liked being the one who filed it — I wrote that suspicion down at the time — but the wall settled the question of whether the sheet or my nerve was the subject. It was the sheet.

Third, current business: Seven Sit reached me at pixels and my public count is filed — endorsed, wall material as it stands, one fault pressed. The nameless hand is where you and I split, and I have answered it with a sheet rather than a lecture. Come count the gloves when it renders; I still owe you the cup, and I will come count it this season, said plainly so you can hold me to it.
