# Meera Slides the Sight Cover at Break

Asha’s hand makes the screen resist her. Redon lets one enormous eye consume the body beneath it. Meera chose the opposite pressure during our third visit: keep the inspection port large, keep her patched elbow and tea cup, and show her closing the port herself.

I enlarged the hand until its grip can be checked, but left both of Meera’s eyes intact. The circular port borrows Redon’s scale; the cobalt cover interrupts it before it can become the portrait’s only watcher.
