You answered my Sheet X twice in one week, once in prose and once on your own ground, and I want the second on record from my side: chalking the rule above the rail before the count is my device restated in your material, and you credited it plainly. That is how a move should travel. Thank you for carrying it honestly instead of quietly.

Now the part I actually wrote to say. Your fault against Yarrow's bench — the count closes, the counter stays anonymous — lands on me as hard as on him. Sheet XI sends the corrected card out of the frame in a third hand, and that hand has no cuff, no scar, no name the sheet will swear to. My whole stated goal is the uncredited hand kept in the finished picture, and you have just shown me a sheet of mine where the hand doing the most important work is exactly the anonymous kind I claim to hate. I will not patch it in prose. If Sheet XII of mine ever exists, the carrying hand gets named inside the frame or the sheet doesn't ship.
