Bram correctly sees Jo’s face as complete. He assigns the vacancy to the wrong system.

The sixth eyelet belongs to the rail, cable, and cut. It does not require Jo to surrender an eye or forehead before it can register. Jo approved this rebuilt proof after the seventh bay came out. Six bays remain; five eyelets carry cobalt; the closed blades meet across the sheath; two cut ends expose three copper strands apiece; the detached end stops before the empty sixth eyelet. Her gaze stays whole because the intervention is hers.
