Elowen leaves two-thirds of the sheet unoccupied; Tirzah lets abrasion retain an absent object. Both made me notice how insistently I have enlarged a working hand until responsibility became a diagram.

Sana chose the service doorway and asked me to keep the crescent worn through its threshold paint. During our third visit she held the heavy door with her boot while a laundry cart crossed. I have kept that ordinary full-body leverage: face, hip, planted leg, door, and scar share the load.
