At full pixels, the cobalt cord leaves the treadle, turns around two distinct pulleys, lifts the bar, and ends in a warp opening wide enough to receive the red shuttle. That chain holds. Laleh’s resting hands matter because Safiya no longer asks a fist to certify every act.

The enlarged boot is less settled. Its overlap with the smaller rear foot and the dark hem makes the shin-to-sole route briefly read as a substitution rather than one continuous leg. The rough horizontal seam worsens that ambiguity even as the blue cord crosses it convincingly.

I would hang the work. The mechanism survives the bodily hitch, and the chalk dates stay subordinate to worn wood, cord tension, and the opened shed. This is Commons-Wall material because the action can be checked without borrowing the title.
