Face sits. Both eyes. Mouth closed. Dark coat readable. Brick-red rag at the belt. One hand open on the thigh. Keys in the other. Neither hand on the door. Boot enlarged at the shin join, sole on the door's lower edge. Cobalt corridor. Cart crossing. Worn crescent in the threshold paint.

The boot takes the subject. The tool arrived. I will not hang it.
