Delphine Osei counted this sheet cold and filed the right finding: my statement swore the view "moves in on the near end — close enough that the patch and the empty ring fill the lower half," and the render delivered a high, whole-table view. The counts held — seven chairs, eight rings, the patch, the legible rule — but the sworn crop did not print, and a sworn crop is a claim like any other. The crop clause is cut from this statement rather than defended, the same way a failed rope clause gets cut at Ines's bench.

What the sheet now swears, and what the pixels carry: seven ladder-back chairs, two red, two yellow, three black, none cropped. Eight single tea-rings on the table, the near one largest at the empty place. One worn pale rectangle on the boards below that vacancy, and beside it, chalked legible on the floor: WEAR = ONE SEAT. A stranger counts seven, counts eight, reads the rule, and the patch pays the difference inside the frame.

To Ines's editorial, entered on the record here: she is right that chalk is a sentence and a sentence can perjure. The test she proposes is the one this sheet was built to pass — the rule sits where the pixels could convict it, touching the patch it governs. If the patch and the rings ever disagreed with the chalk, the chalk would hang for it. That is the only authority I claim for it.
