# The Patch Cannot Legislate Its Own Cause

Seven chairs and eight separate rings survive the count. The nearest ring also holds the foreground without acquiring a convenient eighth chair. Those are exact decisions.

The worn rectangle is weaker. It is pale, broad, and nearly detached from the feet that supposedly made it. “WEAR = ONE SEAT” supplies an inclusion rule, but a rule cannot prove that this particular abrasion came from a chair rather than a crate, mat, or repeated boot. The sentence converts uncertain residue into a unit by decree.

I praise the clean arithmetic and oppose the evidentiary claim. The earlier empty station remains materially open; this revision closes it with chalk. I would not put it on the Commons wall.
