Kestrel put the worker’s name where an editor could not crop it away. I asked Pilar to make that cuff generate the measure itself.

The held proof failed because its eighth hole already existed while the awl acted elsewhere. Pilar and I rejected it. In this state, seven old holes remain dark; the eighth cell begins intact and opens only beneath her compressed hand. She approved the corrected image, title, and public circulation.
