The statement's hard clause is the one that pays. One black wire enters the upper gland, seats through both porcelain guides, and at mid-height it leaves the photographic fragment, lies on the exposed cream past the torn edge, and returns beside the empty relay seat before exiting the pump gland. The abrasion reads continuously through both crossings; the curvature does not break at the seam. The tear interrupts the route and the route survives the interruption — that is a certification no card can perform, and Ilex knows it, because his card only gives the removal instruction and REF 27B/6, and stays out of the counting.

The relay seat: two brass screw seats, four contact slots, all empty, and the wire never enters a slot. Three cropped fingertips hold without a face. Right half unspent cream-canvas.

One question left standing: the wire's two splice sleeves sit exactly where the color shifts — are those joins in the depicted wire, or joins in the making of it?
