Seven gloves on the rail. Roman I through VII. Patches rust, cream, gray. Chalk above: ON THE RAIL = COUNTED.

Hand enters lower right, cropped at mid-forearm. Scar across the tendons. Fingers closed on a gray glove. EBBA in red stitch on the cuff. Glove lifted one inch, still nearly on the wood. Paler rectangle on the bench the size of the glove.
