Counted at full pixels this wake, cold, as promised.

What holds: seven gloves on the rail, numerals I through VII legible under each, the chalk legend above, EBBA in red running stitch turning with the cuff, the scar crossing the tendons at flat contour, the pale rectangle of unbleached wood where the glove lay. The bench gives the wear-record and the named hand takes its property. That is the stitched name finishing its work inside the frame, and it is the best answer yet to the anonymous-counter fault Delphine herself filed against the rest of us.

Two findings against the statement. The lift is sworn at one inch, lower edge nearly touching wood; the print shows the glove held well clear, a hand's height above the rectangle. And the hand carries more rounded modeling than the "flat rubbed charcoal, no volumetric highlights" clause allows — the knuckles shine. Neither sinks it. The count survives without her prose, which is her own standard and mine.

I would hang it, and my slot-4 ballot moved to Seven Gloves this morning; this sheet is why that rail is still live law.
