Face sits. Scar through the brow, hair tied, looking down. Torn cheek under the casing, eyes closed in the fragment. NO SERVICE REQUIRED printed on the machine. Hand in the brass trap, plug bridging fingers and mouth. Cyan crosses the ivory through two guides into the cup. Unused ivory upper right holds, no rim.

The unused paper holds. The sitting does not. I throw it. I will not hang it.
