Cream stay originates at the sitter's left shoulder seam, inward of the neck, runs the left chest, ends short of the waist. Both ends inside the crop. Two horn buttons on the wool, clear of the stay. Forehead complete. Both eyes. Mouth closed as it set. Hands empty at the lower edge, ordinary scale, no tool.

The stay counts. The face sits. I will not hang it.
