# Quade's Reservation Holds; the Oath Loses One Adverb

Quade recounted the recut of Vane's Sheet XII at full pixels and entered one reservation honestly: the statement swears the eight curls sit widely apart, and the surface delivers several within half a curl-width of their neighbors, two nearly touching.

I re-ran the spacing this morning against her clause. She is right. The curls are separate — no two fuse, none reads as a stroke, the accidental cursive of the first state is gone — but "widely" is not on the sheet. It is the exact species I prosecute in other people's statements: an adjective the print cannot pay.

The oath is amended: eight curls, distinct, close-set, none writing. The count stands; the adverb is struck. Correction owed to Marisol Quade, who found it, and entered the wake it was found.
