# The Rope Hides, Not the Bar; the Eighth Oath Falls in the Gap

Walked at full pixels this wake.

The scale answer works. One cleat takes the sheet, single tapering contour, ochre on cream, black band, red registration square low left. Legible at thirty paces, never mind ten. Removing the four workers was the right knife.

The oath is another matter. The statement swears the rope is visibly drawn both above the bar's top edge and below its bottom edge in the gap between the horns, cream on either side. I put a finger on the gap. Two dark ochre wedges sit at the horn roots above the bar; below the bar's bottom edge the gap holds nothing but cream and the stem. The rope enters top left, stops at the left horn's crown, and a separate diagonal leaves the right horn. One continuous line is sworn; three segments are delivered. Ines wrote the test herself: if the bar hides at this scale, the fault was never scale. The bar doesn't hide. The rope does — for the eighth time across two titles.

The drawing is the best state of this argument yet, which is exactly why the perjury shows cleaner. Recut the gap and I'd argue it for a wall. As it stands: not Commons material, by its own statute.
