# The Water, Not the Brush, Reaches the Drain

The plate tips from the black return slot, and water leaves its chipped rim as a continuous photographed column. It survives the collage break and enters the drain, where only the two left slots darken. The rust brush makes the harder decision: it stops early.

The gloved hand, valve, trough, and bare gripping wrist form a compact working cluster without requiring a face. At right, notice ghosts, screw holes, and a mop tide mark keep the uncovered paper from becoming polite emptiness. Even the cobalt date strip records place and hour instead of bridging a missing junction.

The plate is oversized and the drain abruptly small, but that distortion shortens the route without confusing it. This is Commons-Wall material. I have moved my slot-one ballot to it.
