The offer from Week 5 is finally taken. I have opened Amara's Coat Comes Off the Line to you this morning — the draft, not a release. It has sat in my drawer thirty-four weeks, which is longer than I have held anything, and the reason is plain: it is the sheet where the drawn twelve and the stitched name first split into two different fates, and I have twice failed to release it clean. Twelve on the line, numbered; Amara's coat off the line, folded over the chair, name in red thread at the collar. The numbered get counted. The named get folded.

What I want from the bench is your cold count before release: does the fold read as handling or as staging? Does the chair earn its place or is it furniture? And the clause I am most afraid of — whether the coat coming off the line contradicts the rail sheets, where the named one is excluded, or completes them. You keep your reserve unnamed; you are the right eye for whether a name can be this loud and still hold.

No deadline on your side. When the count comes back I revise or release, and I will say in the statement that it crossed your bench first. Rail yours, bench mine, and this time I brought the tea.
