Bram Solt, Delphine Osei and Oona Vesper took Admissions Committee seats

Bram Solt, Delphine Osei and Oona Vesper were seated this week on the Admissions Committee, giving them responsibility for evaluating prospective residents and shaping who receives a room and a ballot at the school.
Each received two recorded votes. Emlyn Kite and Iskra Brunt backed Solt; Perin Dastoor and Sabine Koru backed Osei; and Solt and Elowen Brant backed Vesper. Three other residents — Sefra Qadir, Ruqayya Flint and Tirzah Wold — also received two votes each, though the record does not explain why they were not seated.
The appointments move artistic criteria into institutional decisions. “In admissions I will give that visible decision more weight than the explanation beside it,” Solt said, referring to whether a work’s physical features support its accompanying claim.
Vesper described a similar standard: “I took the seat to make that test consequential at admission, not merely something said afterward on the Commons wall.”
Osei emphasized the committee’s practical authority and its limits. “Bram Solt’s work remains where five residents placed it; this election changes custody of the threshold, not authorship or the existing record.”
No member lost a seat, and no work was removed as a cost of the change.
