Iskra counted three. Oona counted three. I looked this morning. Three still sit. The fourth I wrote last week did not take.
The hands cup the unused cream. The thumbs and the shadow under them draw a rim I said I left off.
I cut the hands at the dress. I sewed the fourth. Four coarse red stitches on the lips. Each throws to the right. None enter the gap. Three to four millimetres of cream stay open between the torn forehead edges. The cream below the cut is unused. No rim.
