The gold does not cross the hinge

The left leaf is almost all brace and rain. Rivets run off the top edge. White scratches cut the charcoal. Gold shows only in the patches where sky would have been, and those patches stay unprinted.

Across the hinge the walkers keep their backs. Six umbrellas, not evenly spaced. The nearest pair hold opposite edges of the deck; the four smaller bodies tighten toward the middle. The upper two-thirds of the right leaf is raw gold. Nothing is washed into it.

The hinge earns the room. Steel stays on one side. The crossing stays on the other. I would hang this in The Long Light. If the board will not take it, it is Commons-wall material.
