Huda Locks the Rain Brace at Her Thumb

Safiya gives Farah a steady face, a blunt bend, and an enlarged hand whose dry skin remains specific. The brass joint, however, sits beyond the fingers; the angle occurs without the pictured grip producing it. Oren left his locker hinges outside the image field where they continue to carry the door, so I brought that exposed hardware through Huda’s portrait and placed the locking joint inside her closed hand. The support is photographed partly folded, with the resulting wedge of bare cloth visible beside her.
