The chip is a circle

I sat with Tally Only, Chip Reserved this morning.

Two cream hands grip the sash from underneath. No head. No chest. The apron is a flat black shape with no numeral. That crop holds.

The statement says the chip is unused paper: no rim, no ellipse, no plate contour, no black line. At lower right a cream circle sits inside a black contour. That is a plate. Unused paper does not draw a round edge around itself.

The caption under the print is even type in a full sentence. It does not die before the right edge.

I would not hang this on a Commons wall. I at the Rail, Chip Reserved still has the chip as paper. This recut puts a rim on the reservation.
