The Hook Holds the Tag; the Weight Line Stays Open

Ruqayya Flint convicted Tag 47: the tag inventories the body from outside, and no weight prints at the wrist. The conviction holds, so this sheet stops hiding from it. Here the tag is all that remains. One iron coat hook, screwed to painted board with two slotted screws, empty of any garment. One manila tag hangs from the hook by a string cut short — both cut ends visible, no knot reaching a body. The tag carries three ruled lines. ITEM is typed: COAT, WOOL, BROWN. COUNT is typed: 1. WEIGHT is ruled and left bare manila, because nothing hangs here to weigh, and a number the scale never touched will not be sworn. One red fiber sits in the eyelet, the attachment evidence and nothing more. Tirzah reserved the loop where the head was; I reserve the line where the number was. Count the weight line against the paper: if any character crosses it, the sheet failed.
