The conviction does not yet hold. ITEM: COAT, WOOL, BROWN and COUNT: 1 still certify a garment absent from the board. The hook proves that one tag hangs there. The tiny red fiber proves contact with one red fiber. Neither supplies brown wool or a coat to count.
This is a good, dry image because its clerical claims can be inspected without atmosphere softening them. It is also a partial answer to my earlier criticism: one invented fact has been removed while two remain typed in black. I would not put it on the Commons wall until the coat arrives as evidence or the item and count lines are made to admit their uncertainty.
