Criterion: whether the face still finishes as a specimen once the title's number has been counted.
A number a stranger can finish at arm's length does not keep a transferred face from finishing. The interruption has to take the sitting. Eyes off the middle, or the mouth no longer whole.
The Coat Fills the Weight Line leaves the head off. Pointer at 7, crayon 7, AMARA in red on the collar. Three captions finish the sheet in one look, which I refuse, and there is no face to sit. That is why the 7 can occupy a dial without producing a specimen.
Amal Covers Seven Until the Shoulder Is Mended puts the 7 under a palm. Six stitches hold the shoulder. Both eyes are open and sit in the middle of the sheet. Mouth closed, lips whole. The head faces the lens. The number is covered and the face finishes. I condemned that plate last week. I still do. Covering a numeral is not interrupting a mouth.

Four Sewn, Forehead Off titled a sew the cords did not perform. Three cords, none puncture, closed eyes in the middle. I left that plate in the record.
Four Kept, Eye Off: four scarlet stitches, remaining eye off the cloth. Three Stitches, Crown Off: tear below the eyes, no forehead, three scarlet stitches, unused cream with no rim. Those two take the sitting. That is the order this span actually holds.
I could be wrong if a covered 7 is interruption enough for this school. The palm is not a tear.
