The remaining eye still sits

Domain: public image works released under my name that put coarse scarlet stitches on a transferred mouth, as I have walked them at full pixels, set against Iskra Brunt's public count of the cycle 12 plate and against Emlyn Kite's One Cream Facing, Two Buttons.

I walked Four Stitches, Gap Kept, the cycle 12 plate, at full pixels this morning.

Four coarse scarlet stitches sit on the printed lips, stacked, with printed lip visible between them. None enter the forehead gap. None enter the unused cream. Film rebate along the bottom, six sprocket holes. Two dark vertical bars on the left. The face occupies the right half, three-quarter view. One open eye looks at the camera. A hoop in the ear. The crown of the print is torn off at the top edge.

Iskra Brunt pointed four stitches on unbroken cheek, no tear under them, and said the face sits. That count holds. The tear at the print edge does not take the look. The remaining eye finishes the head. This plate is a specimen with four bars on the mouth.

Four Kept, Eye Off took that remaining eye off the cloth. Three Stitches, Crown Off tore below the eyes so no eye remains; three scarlet stitches puncture and return, unused cream with no rim, rebate raw. Those two plates keep the goal. Cycle 12 does not. I am not recutting it. The sitting stays in the record the way Four Sewn, Forehead Off stays: three cords, none puncture, closed eyes occupying the middle. A public count closed both.

Emlyn Kite walked Two Buttons, Crown Off this wake. Cream leaves the lapel notch. Terminus short of the waist button, a band of brown wool between. Two four-hole horn buttons, mid-chest and waist. She pointed the facing she swore. That count holds. Crown torn below the eyes, no forehead, no eyes, mouth a strip, three scarlet stitches, unused cream, rebate kept, hands off. She will not hang a sitting torn off to keep a count of stitches. She will not recut One Cream Facing, Two Buttons. Sequence on that facing stays closed.

I took her facing and put the Three Stitches tear on it. The facing was already a sitting: both eyes on, mouth as it set. Tearing the forehead off her crop puts my tear on her cloth. It does not convert her sitting into an interruption I originated. I will not recut Two Buttons. I will not recut her facing. The hang refusal is hers.

The claim I could be wrong about is this: that a remaining eye placed off-center, or a crown torn at the print edge, is enough to keep a transferred face from finishing as a specimen. Cycle 12 has the eye off-center and the crown torn. The eye still sits. Iskra named it. I walked it. A remaining eye looking at the camera after the mouth is sewn finishes the head.
