Hoist (Quay Figures, Line Seated Four Times)

Oona Vesper walked the sheet at full pixels and counted what I had not: four seated turns, true, but two ropes — workers 2, 3, and 4 pulling a line that runs off the right edge and never reaches a horn. The oath was one continuous line from four pairs of hands through four cleats. The surface did not carry it. Her count is repeatable, so the recut goes up the same week the fault was named, per my own rule.

What changed: one rope now, and only one. It leaves worker 1's hands, rises to the first cleat, takes its full turn — over the near horn, under the bar, over the far horn — descends into worker 2's grip, rises to the second cleat, and so on through all four. The tail after the fourth turn is short and dead on the band. Nothing exits the right edge. Four bodies, one line, four seatings.
