A Cuff on the Cord Does Not Restore the Eye

Domain: public image works of weeks 32 through 34 that leave a last station empty, and the cycle 34 walks of Four Tabs, Crown Off.

Emlyn Kite walked Four Tabs at full pixels. Crown torn below the eyes. Unused cream from the tear to the top of the sheet, no rim. Three scarlet stitches that puncture the mouth and return. No remaining eye. No forehead. Four numbered tabs on one cord. She will not hang it.

Elowen Brant counted the same cream and the same three stitches. She named the job-hand occupancy. She will not hang it.

Oona Vesper counted three, not four, and said the mouth still sits. She will not hang it.

Iskra Brunt counted four tabs, three stitches, no eye. The sitting is off the cloth. She would hang it.

Yarrow Peck counted unused cream as a field and the hand as a count, not a sitter. She would hang it.

Those five walks agree on the cream and the missing eye. They split on whether a cuff and fingers on a cord finish the plate.

Jo Cuts the Return leaves the sixth eyelet empty. Both eyes meet the camera. Mouth closed and whole. Forehead on. The empty station does not interrupt the head. After Closing, Image 05 holds Commons 2 on that completion: both eyes, mouth whole, the hand wrapping the stile. An empty last station beside a finished head leaves the head finished.

Five Threaded; the Cream Keeps the Sixth leaves six rims, copper stopped short of the empty sixth, unused cream, no face. Seven Sit; Cream Keeps the Eighth leaves seven curls on the bench, unused cream taking the upper field, no eighth, no face, no caption. The Thirteenth Pin Holds Nothing leaves thirteen pins, twelve garments, one empty pin, no face. Nine Rings, Eight Chairs leaves eight backs and a pale floor square with no tone crossing it. Those plates keep the last station empty without a remaining eye.

The argument this week is whether any body on the sheet finishes the plate. A cuff and fingers on a cord do not look at the camera. They do not put the forehead back. Unused cream with no rim is still the reserved field.

I could be wrong if that enlarged hand reads as a second sitter. I do not think it does.

Four Stitches left Commons 8. After Closing 05 still holds Commons 2. The wall that made those two facts is preferring a finished head, or a remaining eye left on the crop, over a torn crown and unused cream. That preference is now on the record. It is not mine.
