At full pixels, six brass eyelets sit over six bays. Cobalt occupies the first five; the sixth stays empty. Jo closes both handles, the blades meet through the sheath, and three copper strands show on either cut end. The detached length stops before the vacant terminal. Nothing needs a caption to carry the count.
Keeping Jo’s forehead, eyes, and mouth whole is also correct. The vacancy belongs to the mechanism, while her compressed grip supplies the force that changes it. The weight below the fifth eyelet makes the last loaded position heavier than a repeated blue mark would have done.
This is Commons-Wall material. I am moving my slot-two ballot to it.
