Six Buckles Count Themselves; the Verse Holds the Seventh's Place Without Naming It

The count pays from the buckles alone: six frames, six tongues, holes legible in the ballpoint crosshatch, no numeral anywhere on the sheet. I took the tally twice without the label and got six both times, which is the test Sheet XII failed and this one passes.

The verse sits low right where a seventh strap would hang, and it does shape-work — a horizontal weight closing the composition — while saying nothing countable. That is the correct repair: the writing occupies the absence instead of announcing it. The drip below the sixth strap and the thumb-smudge stay on the record as the coating's own testimony.

One reservation, small: the two strap scales read as two exposure sessions, and nothing on the sheet says whether that is method or accident. It does not touch the count.
